The Elevate Dock sits under the machine and lifts it. Nothing about the Essenza Mini changes - It seats flush, the footprint stays honest, and it still looks like the machine you chose. You get 15cm of clearance underneath, which is enough for a double espresso, a double lungo, or an iced latte in a glass that used to be off limits.
That’s the whole idea, and it’s a small one. Three centimetres of height, roughly.
But three centimetres is the difference between making the coffee you want and making a version of it. I’d been drinking the compromise for a year without noticing it was one.

I chose the Essenza Mini on purpose. It’s 2.3kg, it heats in thirty seconds, and it doesn’t shout across the kitchen like those bigger machines do. For a small counter, it’s close to perfect.
Then i wanted a double shot in a tall glass, and found out it doesn’t fit. So i used a smaller cup, pulled two shots and poured them into a bigger one. Then i took the drip tray out and tilted the glass, until the machine’s own vibration tipped it over. Then I stacked two small cutting boards under the machine, which worked, except i kept forgetting to put the drip tray back and coffee dried onto the counter.
A year of that. What’s strange is that I never once blamed the machine - I blamed myself for wanting the wrong size drink. That’s what a good product does to you. It’s nice enough that you assume the problem is you.

EASILY ACCESS UP TO 40 COFFEE PODS
The magnetically attached dock holders allow for easy access that’s secured to the dock. Pull a dock, fill it up standing wherever, put it back. No bending over at the counter.
The old pod holder I purchased with my Essenza Mini was a single acrylic tower. Forty pods, which is plenty, except refilling it meant bending over the counter and feeding them in one at a time. The pod docks come off the side magnetically instead. Take one to the cupboard, fill it with your hands, put it back. Four a side, five pods each.
It’s a small difference in mechanism and a large on in posture. Every problem this thing solves turned out to be the same problem: things on kitchen counter sit below where your hands want to work.

Lifting the machine created two new problems, which is usually how this goes.
Without the drip tray, coffee lands on the counter. So there’s a slimmer tray built to the original’s footprint, with a cover, because a tray you have to remember isn’t a solution. And the stock capsule container has a knub sticking out of it and that exists only to hold Nespresso’s own tray in place - it looks out of place and it makes the container awkward to pull out. The replacement drops the knub, moves the handle to the bottom where it lines up with the machine, and holds ten used capsules instead of six.
Ten instead of six sounds like a small thing, and as a number it is. As a rhythm it isn’t. Six capsules is three days, which means you empty it on a Wednesday, which means the job never gets a fixed place in your week. Ten is five days. You empty it on Friday, with everything else.
Nobody buys a coffee machine dock for the bin. But the bin is the part you’ll touch most.

The physical Elevate Dock comes in matte black, because one product in one colour is how the studio works. The files don’t have that constraint.
SGD$25. The complete set of print-ready files - dock, capsule container, drip tray and cover, and eight pod docks. Print it in any colour you like, in whatever quantity you need, on your own machine. The only extras you would need are 32 × circular magnets (8cm x 3cm).
